Jamice Oxley

Jamice Oxley joined HJTH as a partner in 2022. Jamice has dual undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degrees from Yale University. Prior to law school, Jamice began her legal career at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Warner Bros. Television. After earning her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Jamice has over the course of her entertainment legal career, represented numerous media and entertainment clients. Some of her clients have included Facebook (Meta), Netflix, major studio and independent film and television production companies, live stage theatre producers and composers, Grammy award winning producers and artists, television and film producers, directors, writers and actors, film financiers, feature film animators and producers, and digital content creators. Jamice has also represented influencers, beauty brands and trademarks across complex endorsement relationships and joint ventures.


At HJTH, Jamice represents individual talent. Alongside her partner, John Meigs, Jamice negotiates and closes high value deals and contracts for film and television actors, writers, showrunners, executive producers, producers, comedians, directors, athletes, podcast producers, brand influencers and film and television production companies.


In 2021, Jamice was listed in Variety Magazine as a Top New Leader in Entertainment under 40. Jamice is recognized yearly as one of the “Top 100 Black Lawyers” in America and was named a Leader in the Law by the Los Angeles Business Journal.


Jamice has been frequently quoted in publications such as the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal and speaks on entertainment and IP related panels. Jamice is also of service in her community as the former President of the Entertainment and IP Lawyers section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, a member of the Langston Bar Association’s Entertainment Law Committee, a speaker for the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association annual conferences, and a mentor to young, black women attorneys. Jamice has served on the Alumnae Leadership Board of her alma mater, Marlborough School, for over a decade and is also a Yale Undergraduate Admissions interviewer.


Jamice is the proud mother of her elementary school age daughter, Olivia, and loves to swim, adventure travel, write, and enjoy great seats at live concerts, plays, dance performances, sporting events and festivals.
